3 - 6th of May, Cluj-Napoca
Project description

The International Conference of Psychology Students is now at its third edition. Starting with 1996 until 2009, this event had 13 editions organized at a national level, but the success it had made us want to develop it even more.
We gather students from our country and from abroad and we offer them the possibility to present their scientific research in front of a professional jury. Our target group is composed of both bachelor and master students, with interests in fields such as psychology, special psychopedagogy and educational sciences.
The aim of this conference is to offer romanian and foreign students a formal context to help their professional development in the fields of psychology, special psychopedagogy and educational sciences.
Moreover, we promote the scientific part of the above mentioned fields, we facilitate the intercultural communication between the romanian and foreign students which are interested in psychology and educational sciences. We also want to facilitate the publication of the scientific papers presented during the conference in Journals of Psychology.
The activities that are held during the conference are divided in three dimensions: the professional dimension consists in a scientific session, a poster section, workshops, lectures and a round table. The cultural dimension is represented by a music and poetry evening and the social dimension has a party, a traditional evening and a Treasure Hunt or a city tour visiting the most representative sights of Cluj-Napoca.

“CISP 2011 was an indescribable experience! First, as a coordinator I had the opportunity to work with some wonderful volunteers who made this project their best fulfilling all expectations so in the end we can exclaim: “What a successful conference!” Second, I believe that organizing this conference has contributed significantly to the developement of specific skills of volunteers involved. Certainly CISP will be unforgotten! I want to thank ASPR for the trust which gave me to coordinate this project and hope that CISP project will grow more and more, year after year!”
Sajin Consuela Thais, Psychology, III

"Having attended last year’s edition of CISP, I gained a memorable experience
which I had longed for since I have started studying Psychology. As far as I am

concerned, it meant the first chance to learn a great deal about a international student

conference by interacting with other students from Romania and from other countries.

I encourage every student who is interested in such activities, to attend them,
if given the chance, and I strongly believe that it will bring them many advantages.
Among other benefits, there is the possibility to meet students preparing within the
same field of science and to become accustomed to different approaches regarding
psychological ideas and theories.
Not to mention that it will enhance your critical thinking upon the study of
psychology in our country and the path one needs to follow in order to become a good
practitioner or scientist.
All things being said, I would like to recommend you to seize every opportunity
in this direction."
